This book is not only aimed at trainers of Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Ju-Jutsu, Karate, BJJ etc. who want to bring a breath of fresh air and a lot of fun into their training, but also at school sports teachers who are looking for new game ideas on the subject of wrestling and self-assertion for their sports lessons.

The book is clearly structured and laid out like a recipe book, so that each game can be quickly grasped from structure to application and used in training. There is a selection of different game forms: Individual exercise, partner exercise, team game, one against team and team against team.

The 1st volume of Budo Games contains a variety of different games that can be incorporated into training not only for warming up but also for preparing or automating techniques, technique application as well as acquisition and conditioning of movement patterns.

A special feature is that world-class athletes, national coaches, top trainers and top referees from various Budo sports are presented with a portrait and their favourite game from their youth. Role models from top sport who want to give the youngsters a little insight into themselves and motivate them for their personal path in life.

The author of the book has been actively practising various martial arts such as Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Ju-Jutsu and BJJ since 1983 and was himself an active competitor at national and international tournaments, association and club youth leader, referee as well as Bundesliga and Europa Club Cup coach. Today he is mainly active as a trainer in the various professional associations.
